Grade 1 and 2 (U8) Lacrosse-Girls
Our main objective for the program is to develop a fundamental understanding and appreciation of girls lacrosse.
- Cradling, catching and passing, ground balls, stick and shooting skills will be introduced
- Positive attitude, team work and good sportsmanship will be strongly encouraged
- Create a fun environment and a desire to keep playing and learning
To be eligible for the 2017 Spring Season, players must be in 1st or 2nd grade
The season will consist of 1-2 weekly practices starting in mid April and ending in mid June. A few games will be played towards the end of the season against nearby town teams. The games will be 7v7.
We need player registration by mid December so we can finalize team counts, order uniforms and register with the league.
There will be a player cap at 28 players. After the cap is reached, kids will be placed on a wait list. Once we have enough players and coaches for another team, we will release kids on the wait list in the order they registered.
The players will need a girls lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouth guard.
Cost of the program will be $90 and will include a pinnie and skort.
In addition, your child must register with the US Lacrosse ($30 membership). The registration process will direct you to register with US Lacrosse to get your membership number.
We are always looking for parent volunteers. No prior experience is required. Please let us know if you are interested in helping.
