Grade 1 and 2 (U8) Lacrosse-Girls
Our main objective for the program is to develop a fundamental understanding and appreciation of girls lacrosse.
Cradling, catching and passing, ground balls, stick and shooting skills will be introduced
Positive attitude, team work and good sportsmanship will be strongly encouraged
Create a fun environment and a desire to keep playing and learning
To be eligible for the 2018 Spring Season, players must be in 1st, Pre-1st or 2nd grade
The season will consist of 1-2 weekly practices starting in mid April and ending in mid June. 4 games will be played towards the end of the season against nearby town teams. The games will be 7v7.
Games will be Sunday, May 13th, May 22nd and June 3rd and 10th.
There will be a player cap at 45 players.
The players will need a girls lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouth guard.
Cost of the program will be $125 and will include a complete uniform.
US Lacrosse membership is required for participation. They (via Bollinger, Inc.) provide insurance coverage for our players, coaches and league. The annual fee is $30. During the registration process, you will be directed to the US Lacrosse site to join or renew your US Lacrosse membership. Once complete, you will be returned to the WYL site to complete the program registration.
